Perfectly Cooked Jasmine Rice
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
Decide how much rice you’d like to make. For each cup of uncooked rice, you will need two cups water
1cup uncooked rice= 2 cup water
Measure our water and pour into large oven safe pot. Place pot over high burner and bring to a boil.
Place rice into a metal strainer and wash rice until the water runs clear beneath rice (This process removes the excess starch from the surface of the rice and makes the cooked product much less mushy and fluffy. It should take about 2-3min. So take your time).
Once your water is boiling, put the rice in the boiling water, and cover the pot.
Place the pot into the preheated oven and cook for 25min.
Use gloves to remove pot and give the rice a quick stir. Add salt to taste.
